Speak From the Core: The AI Speaker Framework That Scales Who You Are
Introduction: Nobody Wants Your AI Talk
Alex Steffen opened with sweat on his face and pudding for legs — about to present to 40 senior managers, with the founder of the company (one of the 100 richest people in his country) sitting in the front row. Instead of delivering persuasive arguments, he took the room on a helicopter ride over the Peruvian Amazon. By the time he made his point — "Great teams are built through trust" — the audience had already felt it.
That is the difference between informing people and moving them. And in a world where AI can generate the same talk for anyone, the only thing that sets you apart is the truest expression of you.
The Real Problem With Most Presentations
Most speakers stay in the head — logical, cerebral, safe. The result: technically correct presentations that no one remembers. The shift Alex teaches is from brain to core — from informing to resonating. As he puts it: "All humans want connection, not perfection."
AI makes this worse if you use it wrong. When you punch a prompt into ChatGPT and get something that sounds brilliant but does not sound like you, you have traded authenticity for convenience. Just like fast food costs you your health, and social media costs you your attention, AI used at the surface level costs you your voice.
The AI Speaker Framework
Speaker Persona — Jungian Archetypes
Nike does not sell shoes. It sells "I am an athlete." Apple does not sell computers. It sells "I am a creative genius." Patagonia sells "I love this planet and I look stunning doing so."
Every effective communicator speaks from a specific archetype — a consistent emotional identity that their audience recognises and resonates with. Alex uses the 12 Jungian archetypes (Magician, Explorer, Creator, Hero, Sage, Caregiver, and more) to help speakers identify their natural style and communicate from it deliberately. You can even blend archetypes — Oprah combines the Sage, the Caregiver, and the Everyman to reach across demographics simultaneously.
The AI prompt: "Act as a world-class brand architect. What is my speaker archetype? Give me persona-aligned vocabulary, emotional anchors, and signature moves."
Story Engineering
In 2022, Alex was in Switzerland for what he expected to be a standard management workshop. Then the lead manager stood up — no slides, no data dump — and said: "Years ago, I led a rally team." The entire room shifted. They were no longer in Switzerland. They were in the mud, in the noise, in the split-second decisions between winning and failure.
That manager had zero engagement issues with his team. All it took was story. Your best material is already inside you — the moment you almost failed, the moment something went sideways, the moment you turned it around. Those are your nuggets. Use them.
The AI prompt: "Act as a Disney Imagineer. Take my story and cut the fluff. Add direction for delivery. Be brutal."
Inspiration Bombs
Great podcast guests do not just tell stories — they land precise, memorable snippets that create an aha moment. "People don't trust what you say, they trust how you say it." Those are inspiration bombs: concise, quotable, under 15 seconds, and entirely yours.
The process: record yourself speaking about what you genuinely believe — your ideas, your expertise, your vision. Then feed it to Claude or ChatGPT with the prompt: "Act as a thought leader. Rephrase where needed for punch, flow, and clarity. Keep them short, sticking, and quotable — under 15 seconds."
Iterate more than once. The first output is a draft. By the third or fourth pass, what you get is genuinely you — just sharper.
The 10-Day Challenge
No slide deck, no framework, and no amount of watching Steve Jobs on YouTube will make you a great speaker. The only way is to speak. Alex's challenge: for 10 days, talk to your phone camera for three minutes a day — about your vision, your product, your passion, anything you never get tired of. People who commit to this regularly become the best communicator in their circle.
Final Thoughts: AI Scales Who You Are
Used at the surface level, AI makes everyone sound the same. Used at the core level — to sharpen your archetype, deepen your stories, and crystallise your ideas — AI scales not what you produce, but who you are. That is the difference between a forgettable presentation and your greatest career breakthrough.
